Artemis II rocket stacking: first of 10 segments stacked

A rocket segment is at the bottom of a very tall metal structure.

Engineers and technicians with the Exploration Ground Systems Program stack the left aft assembly for the Artemis II Space Launch System (SLS) solid rocket booster onto a mobile launcher inside the Vehicle Assembly Building at NASA's Kennedy Space Center. It is first of 10 segments to be stacked. The boosters will help support the remaining rocket components and the Orion spacecraft during final assembly of the Artemis II rocket and provide more than 75 percent of the total SLS thrust during liftoff from Launch Pad 39B.
