Hi everyone,

I’m Joshua Kutryk, Canadian Space Agency astronaut.

I’m currently training for a mission to the International Space Station, where I’ll have the unique opportunity to live and to work for about six months.

I can tell you from experience that the space sector goes far beyond astronauts – it’s a diverse and growing field.

So if you’re interested in space, I hope you realize how lucky you are to be growing up at this point in history. The space sector is expanding quickly, and there are so many new opportunities ahead.

We need people with different strengths: designing spacecraft, studying human health in extreme environments, managing projects, finding innovative ways to use satellite data, and sharing discoveries and the excitement of space with the public.

There are so many paths where you can contribute to the space sector.

For me, the space sector is a universe of opportunities to build a better tomorrow.

The challenges ahead, both here on Earth and beyond, require your creativity, your persistence, and a wide range of perspectives.

So I encourage you to keep pursuing what excites you. Your skills and passion are exactly what the future needs.
