Artemis II daily logbook 10: Splashdown! Jeremy Hansen back on Earth!

After travelling over 1 million kilometres to the Moon and back, the Artemis II crew returns home. Over the course of 10 days, Canadian Space Agency astronaut Jeremy Hansen and NASA astronauts Christina Koch, Victor Glover, and Reid Wiseman became the first people to travel to the Moon since 1972. They travelled farther from Earth than any humans in history, surpassing the record held by Apollo 13. After travelling farther in space than any other humans before and re-entering the atmosphere at 35 times the speed of sound

the Artemis II crew safely made it back to Mother Earth.
