Artemis II daily logbook 9: Preparing to splash down

On flight day 9 of the Artemis II mission, the crew prepared their Orion spacecraft for splashdown. They stowed equipment to ensure all items are secured for re-entry, installed their seats and studied re-entry procedures.  (Credits: Canadian Space Agency, NASA)

The crew of Artemis II is preparing to come home. 

They spent the day stowing equipment, reviewing re-entry procedures, and configuring the spacecraft ahead of the splashdown.

And took a few last longing looks at the Moon before setting their sights back on Mother Earth.
