SWOT mission – Manicouagan Reservoir

Located in northern Quebec, the Manicouagan Reservoir holds 140 km3 of water. 

The SWOT satellite tracks its seasonal changes – and other northern reservoirs – to help monitor water levels and climate impacts on freshwater. Light blue indicates higher elevations, while dark blue shows lower areas. (Credit: Canadian Space Agency, contains SWOT data processed by H2O Geomatics)
