Former Canadian Space Agency astronaut Marc Garneau has passed away at the age of 76.
“As a child I wanted to be like Marc because he was a space explorer. But as an adult, I wanted to be like Marc because he was the best example of human kindness, Canadian values and public service I knew.”

Marc Garneau made history when he became the first Canadian in space.
He participated in three space missions.
