Youth from across Canada participated in Junior Astronauts activities in their school, local science centre, STEM club, community groups or even from home.

We randomly selected 52 participants from all regions of Canada to join our scientists, engineers and astronauts for the Virtual Junior Astronaut Camp this summer.

Some of these young Canadians are already passionate about space and inspired by it.

I’ve always loved space.

My family goes outside sometimes to watch the Northern Lights.

I’ve always been fascinated by the stars.

Space exploration really intrigues me.

Many of our camp participants already have big goals of their own and exciting career aspirations…

I hope to be the next Quebecer to go to space.

Be the first human to grow potatoes on Mars, just like these.

Become the first woman to walk on the Moon.

Become an aerospace engineer in the future.

Become an astrochemist.

Be part of the next generation of CSA astronauts.

Being a junior astronaut will help me achieve my dream.

It is an amazing time for the space program.

This is why we need young Canadians to become the next generation of scientists, engineers and astronauts.

The Junior Astronaut Camp will be an opportunity to learn more about different types of careers in the space sector… and so much more!

Having the opportunity to join this camp closely resembles a back stage pass.

This camp will give me insights into all the possible careers in the Canadian Space Agency.

I would get to meet lots of new people and try lots of things and learn lots of things.

The Canadian Space Program needs bright and passionate people like me to be our next generation of space exploration.

I love space! I LO-VE space! I can’t wait to discuss with scientists and people who are true space specialists.

I cannot wait to see you at the CSA Junior Astronaut Camp this summer!
