Taking the plunge

As part of water survival training for the Crew-13 mission, Canadian Space Agency astronaut Joshua Kutryk exits a space capsule mock-up. 

Training takes place at NASA's Neutral Buoyancy Laboratory in Houston, Texas. Astronauts practise emergency scenarios like exiting their space capsule, deploying a life raft, and being rescued by helicopter. (Credit: NASA/Robert Markowitz)
