Kaskawulsh Glacier seen from space

False-colour satellite image of Kaskawulsh Glacier.

This Sentinel-2 satellite image shows Kaskawulsh Glacier, in Kluane National Park, Yukon. Its meltwater feeds two rivers, Kaskawulsh and Slims, which eventually flow into to the Alsek River and the Kluane River, respectively.

The right side of this false-colour image offers a striking view of the surrounding valleys' vegetation in deep red tones, while the left side shows several types of glacial moraine and outwash from the glacier in dark gray and bluish-gray hues. (Credits: ESA, Sentinel-2 data processed by Vertex)
