Summary

The International Astronautical Congress (IAC) is the one place and time of the year where all global space actors come together. The event attracts more than 6,000 participants each year. Bringing together space agencies, industry leaders, researchers, and students, IAC showcases the latest advancements and emerging trends, and offers participants networking opportunities, contacts, and potential partnerships.

Detailed description

The theme for the 76th edition of IAC will take place in Sydney, Australia, from to . It is hosted by Space Industry Association of Australia, Australian Space Agency and New South Wales Government.

This year's theme, "Sustainable Space: Resilient Earth", highlights the vital connection between space innovation and environmental sustainability. The focus will be on three central areas: space-based applications for Earth; sustainable space activities; and sustaining life beyond Earth.

Recognizing the expanding influence of space on adjacent industries, for the first time IAC is inviting space-enabled sectors (including emergency services, health, public services, telecommunications, resources, manufacturing, finance, construction, agriculture, and Smart Cities) to be part of the program.

The IAC will be open to the general public on . The Canadian Space Agency will have a kiosk at this event.
