Your personal information is collected under the authority of the Canadian Space Agency Act. This collection is required as part of the Space Apps Challenge in order to:

• Determine participants' eligibility.
• Share participants information with local chapters where they are registered.
• Identify and contact the winners of prizes awarded by the Canadian Space Agency (CSA).
• Promote winners' solutions via social media or web.

Your personal information will be protected and only used or disclosed for the purposes for which it was collected. Any other use or disclosure will be subject to your consent, or if permitted and/or required by law.

The personal information collected is described in the Outreach Activities Personal Information Bank (PSU 938).

All personal information you provide is protected pursuant to the Privacy Act, and participants may contact the CSA's Access to Information and Privacy (ATIP) office to access their personal information or to report incorrect information.
