What is your current job?

Wing surgeon, 4 Wing Cold Lake - As the medical director, I oversee the delivery of medical services for the Royal Canadian Air Force airmen and airwomen. I work with a multidisciplinary team of clinicians to ensure patients are fit for their jobs, get the medical attention they require, and recover as quickly as possible. I also advise the Commanders on health care issues and make sure we're prepared to respond to emergencies.

Why do you want to become an astronaut?

I want to be an astronaut because I have a passion to learn and a desire to pursue space endeavours. I am excited about the possibility of advancing Canada's contribution to space exploration, collaborating with clever scientists and engineers, and engaging with all Canadians to learn about our planet and beyond. I think it would be incredible to apply my skills and experiences in a unique and challenging environment.
