What is your current job?

Staff Scientist, Space Place and Planetarium at Science North, Sudbury, Ontario - I lead one of many great teams of Bluecoats – young students and scientists – who are passionate about science. In the centre, we engage visitors with space science in their everyday lives. We maintain and develop exhibits and create and deliver school programs and science experiences that are entertaining and educational. We also deliver free science programs out in the community.

Why do you want to become an astronaut?

It is the most challenging, interesting, and exciting career I can imagine. Astronauts help push the limits of our understanding, our capabilities, and the physical exploration of our world. There are other careers that do this, but none are so iconic or inspirational as an astronaut.
