What is your current job?

Strategy Planner, Royal Canadian Air Force - I am a member of the team that leads operational planning for the Royal Canadian Air Force. We conduct deliberate and rapid response/crisis action planning for NATO, NORAD, and sovereignty operations and exercises.

A high-stress job that requires teamwork, quick thinking, synthesis, analysis and vision.

Why do you want to become an astronaut?

I believe it is truly the most exhilarating job on Earth; no—it is beyond this world!

Being an astronaut would be the logical next step in my professional journey, strange as it is to say! When I saw the job announcement, I realized I was destined to fly in space. Though I didn't know it at the time, the challenges I've faced in my life have led me to develop qualities that are essential to become an astronaut. I've had to surpass myself intellectually and physically, and also develop great psychological and emotional stability.

I see astronaut as the ultimate challenge in my field and in my life. I didn't realize it, but it is a challenge that I am ready to rise up to.
