At the entrance to the library, a stuffed Snoopy is wearing an astronaut helmet and is sitting on his little red dog house. Woodstock, the little yellow bird, is standing in the door.

The beloved Snoopy is the library's mascot. This plush has been autographed by 10 Canadian astronauts.

But what does a cute iconic cartoon dog have to do with astronauts?

The communications cap astronauts sometimes wear as part of their spacesuits is also called a Snoopy Cap. This is because of its resemblance to Snoopy's aviator cap.
