Seals in the area of the Ground Umbilical Carrier Plate

2009-06-14 – On Launch Pad 39A at NASA's Kennedy Space Center in Florida, teams are removing the hardware to change out seals in the area of the Ground Umbilical Carrier Plate, or GUCP, on Space Shuttle Endeavour’s external fuel tank. A hydrogen leak discovered during tanking on June 12 caused the STS-127 mission to be scrubbed at 12:26 a.m. June 13. (Credit: NASA/Tim Jacobs)
