Giant floor maps of Canada
The first giant floor map, Canada from Space, entered Canadian classrooms in . Because of this map, students from all over the country have been able to better understand the key role Earth observation satellites play in their daily lives.
In , new floor maps were designed specifically for communities in the Canadian North. They highlight northern identity and the uniqueness of the Canadian territories.

Having fun while learning
With the giant floor maps, students will learn:
- how pollution and natural disasters impact our country;
- the importance of monitoring Canada's arctic ice for northern communities;
- how resources can be better managed thanks to Earth observation.
They will also strengthen their geographical knowledge by locating unique images of Canada on the map, taken by Canadian astronaut Chris Hadfield when he was aboard the International Space Station.
