NEOSSat is used to observe near-Earth asteroids, comets, satellites and space debris, and to reveal the presence of exoplanets.

It monitors orbiting space objects to reduce the risk of collisions.

It allows for a rapid flow of data and commands between the satellite and the users.

It can capture images of objects close to the Sun.

NEOSSat operates 24/7 and is not limited by the day-night cycle.

Since 2013, NEOSSat has been Canada’s Sentinel in the Sky.
