You're doing marvelous work Dr. Thirsk, expanding our nation's understanding of space and life in orbit. Keep up the great feedback and know that advocates of the world space organization praise your noble contribution to Canada and international space cooperation.

Dear Dr. Thirsk,
My Grade 9 science class has been learning about the space station in our science class, and we were all very excited that you are spending time at the space station.
We were wondering what food you crave from home. Several of the students thought it was definetely cheeseburgers, because we all like them!!! We hope that your return to earth is safe and your adjustment quick.

Mrs. Selkirk, Grade 9 Fast Forward Science Class, KCI, Kitchener Ontario.

From Janet Choboter from Winnipeg, MB
Manitoba Chapter of Osteoporosis Canada gave a presentation for building strong bones to the grade 5 students in Dawson Trail School, Lorette, Manitoba. The class was excited about space and sends these questions to Dr. Thirsk. How much exercise would you need in space? What is it like to be in outer space where there is no gravity? Do you pretend to swim to move around? Is it fun up there? How do you fix a bone in space? Are you doing research about bones? How big is the space station?

Bonjour Bob.

These enthusiastic Cubs from London, Glencoe, Watford, and Mount Brydges, Ontario recently spent a weekend at camp earning the Purple Star and some other related badges, like the Space Exploration Badge. This is their version of a space station, with 3D images built into each window. They wish Bob well and hope to meet him someday.

In 2004 I received my glider pilot license and in 2005 I received my private pilot license all thanks to the Royal Canadian Air Cadet Program. I love flying and have always wanted to be an astronaut. I hope you like the picture. What advice would you give young Canadian flyers?

Hi Bob,
I thought you might be interested to see a picture of at least one of the source trees for the saplings that arrived at the ISS yesterday. I took care of them until recently and hope they will like their new environment. Best, Petra
