Transcript

David Saint-Jacques: Here we are in the guts of the Station, changing a filter, one of the many filters, one of the many parts of the water recycling system we have here on the Station that turns the water in our urine, the water in our sweat, the water even in our perspiration, even the water in our humidity, our breath, into drinking water again. Just like Mother Earth does for us on Earth, we have this machine that recycles our water. And, of course, on our way to Mars we’ll need something like this, very, very, efficient. We just can’t bring all the bottled water for the three-year trip.
