Dextre Deployable Vision System (DDVS) Announcement

2016-01-07 - At a media event on January 7, 2016, the Honourable Navdeep Bains (front), Minister of Innovation, Science and Economic Development, and Minister responsible for the Canadian Space Agency, was impressed with the sophisticated controls to operate Dextre, the International Space Station’s (ISS’s) robotic helper. That day, the Minister announced that a new vision system will be designed by Neptec Design Group and used on Dextre to support the inspection and maintenance of the ISS.
