Description
The image shows part of New South Wales in southeastern Australia. The Great Dividing Range is at the left. This system of mountains and plateaux is also known as the "Great Divide," or the "Eastern Highlands." On average, these mountains are 1,219 metres (4,000 feet) high. The city of Penrith, which is about 60 km west of Sydney is visible at the right.
