Definition of Microgravity Isolation Mount (MIM)

Definition: Instrument designed to actively isolate experiments from the high frequency (> 0.01 Hz) vibrations on the space shuttles, Mir and ISS. Since the beginning of the 1990's, Canada has been developing four generations of Microgravity Vibration Isolation Mounts.
