Launch day, Kennedy Space Center, Florida
3:05 a.m. - Saturday, June 13, 2009

Dear friends,

When you wake up this morning, you will learn that the launch of STS-127 has been postponed for a few days due to a liquid hydrogen leak during tanking. The ground teams are looking at the problem and will need to find a solution before we can safely resume countdown. We do not know how long this will take.

I am sorry for those of you who have travelled to Florida to see the launch and hope you will be able to wait a few days for our next launch opportunity.

Our crew is taking things in stride and will be ready to go when called.
