About the mission:
- Dextre, the third and final component of the Canadian
Mobile Servicing System, is to be delivered to the
International Space Station and installed.
- Five spacewalks planned, including three to assemble Dextre.
- The first element of the Japan Experimental Module of the Japanese Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA) will be installed on the
Station.

- Dominic L. Gorie : Commander
- Gregory H. Johnson : Pilot
- Richard M. Linnehan : Mission Specialist
- Robert L. Behnken : Mission Specialist
- Michael J. Foreman : Mission Specialist
- Takao Doi : Mission Specialist; JAXA Astronaut
- Garrett E. Reisman : Expedition 16 and 17 Flight Engineer
Dr. Reisman will be Flight Engineer for both Expedition 16 and 17. He will return to Earth in May 2008 aboard
Atlantis on Mission STS-119.
- Léopold Eyharts : Expedition 16 Flight Engineer; European Space Agency Astronaut
In February 2008, Dr. Eyharts flew on Space Shuttle
Atlantis during Mission STS-122. He will return to Earth with the crew of STS-123.
Astronauts Behnken, Foreman, Linnehan and Reisman are scheduled to perform spacewalks.
