Many different tasks are performed today. First of all, crew members and those on the Station (two Russian cosmonauts and an American astronaut) will open the "door" and finally be able to meet. Furthermore, the astronauts will transfer water from the Shuttle to the Station. They will also "document" the mission with photo and video cameras (one of which is a Canadian IMAX camera).
