"At last, contemporary art that is a source of joy." Dansereau, who loves colour and transparency, introduces us to his improbable visual world, part way between comic strip and pictorial satire. Taking pleasure in describing himself as a "profoundly superficial" being, he makes no attempt to convey a message or expound a theory in his work. He mocks the stereotypes of today's art and relies on pure pleasure and instinct to create canvases filled with humour, poetry and the joys of life.
