Intellectual Property Management and Technology Transfer

Intellectual Property Management and Technology Transfer (IPMTT) of the Canadian Space Agency (CSA) promotes the development of technologies with a view to maximizing the socio-economic benefits of the Canadian Space Program. Its main responsibilities are to manage the intellectual property associated with technologies developed in the course of CSA activities and to facilitate transfers to third parties.

With a view to providing added value services and optimizing spinoffs for Canadians, technology transfer activities include generating value for research through the granting of licences, disseminating knowledge through publications, and developing studies to assess the commercial potential of inventions developed in the course of the CSA's R&D activities.

Inventors of the year

November 2012 - In winter 2011, Intellectual Property Management and Technology Transfer implemented Component I of its Intellectual Property Awards Program aimed at recognizing inventors of the year at the Canadian Space Agency.
