Distance and Tele-Learning Program

Greetings,

To kick off the CSA Distance and Tele-Learning program for the 2009-2010 academic year, we wish to inform you that we have recently made a series of changes to our registration process, in order to better meet the needs of the Canadian education community.

The following information outlines our new approach:

  • Registration for workshops will occur throughout the school year by quarter; September to December, January to March and from April to June.

  • Each quarter consists of a schedule of predetermined workshops that will be available on a first come, first served basis. In other words, if a teacher wishes to choose a particular workshop and it is offered in the second week of October, the school will have to make the necessary arrangements to meet this definite time frame.

  • From 1 to 3 schools may simultaniously participate in a workshop session.Given the participation of more than 1 class / school we will not be in a position to change the date or time of a scheduled learning event.

  • In the event where we receive too many registrations for a specific workshop, we will advise each educator concerned and either propose a different workshop or inform you whether the selected workshop is available at a later date.

  • Following your registration, you will receive an email explaining, in detail the preparatory activities involved in a tele-learning videoconference, in order to ensure that you and your students are properly prepared and can therefore reap the greatest benefit from the learning event.
