General Information

The Advanced SAR Workshop is organized bi-annually by the Canadian Space Agency (CSA) to review progress on synthetic aperture radar (SAR) technology. Canada is very active in the field of SAR through its RADARSAT program and its participation in the European Space Agency (ESA) Earth Observation program.

Initiated in 1997, the Advanced SAR Workshop's success prompted the CSA to open the event to international participation in 1999 in order to create collaboration opportunities with its foreign partners. There are usually 150 participants to the workshop with close to 100 speakers. Participants include Community Leaders, Developers, and End-Users in both the private and public sectors.

This year the workshop will be held jointly with the Committee on Earth Observation Satellite (CEOS) Working Group on Calibration and Validation (WGCV) – SAR Workshop 2013.

If you would like to be included in the Advanced SAR Workshop mailing list, please send an email to the following address: asar2013@asc-csa.gc.ca
