Clip #1 Jim Prentice
Today, I am announcing that the CSA will open a national recruitment campaign beginning at the end of May.
Highly educated, skilled experienced and talented Canadians will be able to determine whether they have "the right stuff" as they apply to become Canada's next astronauts - a new generation of explorers.
Clip #2 Jim Prentice
This will be the third national astronaut recruitment campaign since the creation of the Canadian Astronaut Corps in 1983.
My wish is that it will rally Canadians in every community to take part in the greatest adventure, representing Canada, pushing the frontiers of knowledge and supporting important and scientific and industrial breakthroughs on the Space Station.
What a better proof of Canadian space expertise, driving innovation, ideas and Canadian science and technology in the service of Canada, Canadians and the world.
Clip #3 Steve MacLean
If you want to apply, I encourage you all to send in your application. We will train you to fly to space and you and us, in the future, will take Canada to the next step as a space-faring nation.
