March 2009 - CSA President Steve MacLean introduced the top 16 candidates in the Agency's National Astronaut Recruitment Campaign. "The Top 16 candidates in the National Astronaut Recruitment Campaign represent an incredibly accomplished, well-rounded and diverse group of Canadians," said MacLean. "This is only the third Astronaut Recruitment Campaign held in Canadian history. As we proceed with our selection process, two of these highly talented individuals will be chosen for the opportunity of a lifetime."

March 2009 - The race is drawing to an end and in a few weeks, the names of the top candidates competing to become Canada's next 2 astronauts will be released. In February, the candidates have faced a battery of tests, from emergency management and first aid, to damage control.
